House Robberies

There has recently been incidents of House Robbery in and around Harrismith.

Residents are requested to be aware of this and to report strangers in their neighborhood.

The Harrismith Police recently took to the streets to make residents aware of some steps they can take to avoid becoming a victim.

Here are some tips:

Be aware of your surroundings,

Have Safety Gates on all outside doors and LOCK them—even if you are close to them,

Have a portable panic button, connected to your alarm system, when you have to work outside in your yard, be at the washing line etc,

Teach your domestic workers the same things and make sure that they contribute to the Safety of your home,

Report persons hanging around your neighbourhood (Person of Interest) to all your neighbours so the whole neighbourhood will be on alert.
